The Kermit Chair has been made the same way in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 30 years. A blend of locally sourced white oak with machined aluminum and stainless steel hardware, its design creates a simple, functional, and timeless piece of equipment able to be be taken down and stowed in its sling bag or folded up and carried using its bowed handles.
Dyneema® is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) developed in 1969 and backed by groundbreaking engineering making it the world's strongest fiber™. Composite fabrics are created using layers of bio-based Dyneema® fibers specially designed to deliver the required strength, stretch, weight, and minimum thickness.
Thanks to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, Dyneema® allows for the creation of high-performance, ultra-light gear that offers unparalleled reliability and durability as natural byproducts. Bio-based Dyneema® achieves this while also delivering a 90%-lower carbon footprint than generic HMPE fibers and manufactured with 100% renewable sources of energy in its manufacturing process.
