Basecamp Shoe Bag - Gray Dyneema
1733 is a detail-heavy design and manufacturing outfit based in Chicago. Our collaboration churns out a material focused take on the classic shoe bag. Built using triple-layer construction starting with a Dyneema shell, cotton batting mid-layer, then lined with a 400D Packcloth interior. Finished with a 2-way YKK Aquaguard zipper, mil-spec nylon webbing, and hand-tied 275 paracord zipper pulls.
Dyneema® is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) developed in 1969 and backed by groundbreaking engineering making it the world's strongest fiber™. Composite fabrics are created using layers of bio-based Dyneema® fibers specially designed to deliver the required strength, stretch, weight, and minimum thickness.
Thanks to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, Dyneema® allows for the creation of high-performance, ultra-light gear that offers unparalleled reliability and durability as natural byproducts. Bio-based Dyneema® achieves this while also delivering a 90%-lower carbon footprint than generic HMPE fibers and manufactured with 100% renewable sources of energy in its manufacturing process.
