1733 Tote - Saltex Navy
1733 is a detail-heavy design and manufacturing outfit based in Chicago. Our collaboration churns out a material focused take on the classic zip tote/briefcase. Built using triple-layer construction starting with our Saltex Nylon shell, cotton batting mid-layer, then lined with a 400D Packcloth interior. Finished with a 2-way YKK Aquaguard zipper, mil-spec nylon webbing, and hand-tied 275 paracord zipper pulls.
Our Saltex Nylon is woven in Japan with a denser, more rigid structure and carries an organic texture and appearance. This effect is achieved by heat treating the fabric after a salt bath to compress the weave. When exposed to humidity the material will loosen and become more flexible and return to its original state in normal conditions. A DWR coating provides water resistance to round it out.
