Kaweco Mini Special
Kaweco writing instruments have been made in Germany since 1883. Founded in the back of a Heidelberg carpenter shop, its close proximity to an arts and science college provided a convenient early sales channel and after years of development, the company was awarded a first official patent for fountain pens.
The Mini Special mechanical pencil is built with a satin-gloss aluminum eight-sided frame (a shape introduced by Kaweco in 1913) making it soft and light enough for every day carry but heavy enough to avoid feeling fragile. Its internal mechanics, developed in Japan, allow for a precise draw and its slightly oversized barrel makes it easy to maneuver. A Simple and brilliant tool.
